01 Wet Installation: The Foundation of Long-Lasting Linings

Proper wet installation ensures optimal performance of magnesia-chrome bricks:

    • Full Mortar Coverage: All brick joints must be completely filled with mortar, maintaining joint widths according to design specifications

    • Proper Compaction: Each brick should be tapped with a wooden or rubber hammer to squeeze out excess mortar, ensuring perfect contact with the shell and face-to-face bonding between bricks

    • Timely Finishing: Remove excess mortar before complete hardening. For areas needing additional mortar, use a trowel to compact fresh mortar firmly

    • Precise Alignment: Maintain straight, level joints with smooth curved surfaces and tight connections

    • Expansion Management: Leave approximately 10mm expansion space under support plates, filled with refractory fiber felt to protect the plates

02 Anchor Brick Installation: Enhancing Wall Integrity

Anchor bricks significantly improve the structural stability of vertical walls in magnesia-chrome brick linings:

    • Adequate Density: Minimum distribution of 6 bricks per square meter, adjusted based on temperature fluctuations and wall area

    • Rigorous Inspection: Reject any anchor bricks with cracks affecting strength around anchor holes

    • Proper Preparation: Pre-arrange bricks to determine exact anchor positions, clean welding areas thoroughly, and weld anchor pipes securely

    • Secure Installation: Insert anchor hooks after brick placement and fill gaps tightly with refractory fiber felt

03 Lock Bricks in Arches: Preventing Loosening and Collapse

Lock bricks are crucial for maintaining arch integrity in magnesia-chrome brick constructions:

    • Precise Planning: When 5-6 bricks remain in a circle, dry-arrange bricks to achieve proper wedging. If unsatisfied, carefully measure and use custom-cut bricks

    • Proper Orientation: Never place cut brick surfaces toward the shell to ensure tight contact

    • Strategic Placement: Position lock bricks 2-3 bricks away from cut bricks, avoiding the arch top. Perform locking operations at equal distances on both sides of the arch

    • Quality Assurance: Use only original, uncut bricks for the final locking between two uncut bricks to ensure strength and reduce friction during wedging

Professional Installation = Extended Service Life

Even the highest quality magnesia-chrome bricks cannot perform optimally without proper installation. Our technical team provides comprehensive installation guidance and on-site support to ensure your refractory lining achieves its maximum potential lifespan.

From the perspective of the world as a whole, the occurrence of the World War established the dominance of American refractory technology, for example: the head of the American table at the beginning of the twentieth century was very impressive, that is to say, related to the expansion of the production of iron and steel, and the United States showed its overwhelming strength in the development of new refractory materials after entering 1900.
